A One-Year-Only C6 Combination

The 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible brought together the open-air body style with the LS7 engine associated with the C6 Z06. The resulting model gave owners big-displacement, naturally aspirated performance in a configuration produced for a single model year.

The board needed to explain that distinction quickly. Rather than presenting the car as simply another Corvette convertible, the design focused on what makes the 427 model different: its powertrain, lightweight construction, performance hardware, and limited production.

Owner-provided performance details: 0–60 mph in approximately 3.8 seconds, a top speed near 190 mph, and a 7,000-rpm redline from the LS7 V8.

Key Details Highlighted On The Board

Hand-Built LS7

The 7.0-liter V8, titanium connecting rods, and dry-sump oiling system form the technical centerpiece of the display.

Driver-Focused Hardware

A 6-speed manual transmission and Magnetic Selective Ride Control reinforce the car’s performance character.

Lightweight Components

A raised carbon-fiber hood, carbon-fiber front fenders, and composite floor construction help distinguish the 427 package.

ZR1-Inspired Details

Lightweight chrome wheels, functional vents, and a ZR1-style rear spoiler add recognizable high-performance cues.

Designing Around The Real Car

The finished board shown above was built around the owner’s original vehicle photograph rather than substituting an artificial or generic Corvette image. That preserved the exact stance, paint, wheels, and setting of the customer’s car while turning the information into a polished show-ready display.

  • One large hero image keeps the actual vehicle as the focal point
  • Engine, performance, and collector details are grouped into clear sections
  • The LS7 and 427 identity receive the strongest visual emphasis
  • Supporting ZR1-related components are identified without overpowering the main story
  • The 1953–2013 anniversary context is preserved as a period detail
  • Typography and spacing are sized for readability beside the car

Accuracy Matters On A Collector-Car Board

Vehicle owners often know the details of their cars better than anyone else. This project went through owner review to refine package information, remove language that was not needed, and ensure the final board reflected the specific car rather than a generic model description.

That approval step is part of every project. Show Car Display Boards can help organize and research specifications, but the customer reviews the information before final production.

Built For The Show Environment

The vertical 24x36 format gives the finished Corvette board enough presence while keeping the specifications readable and the footprint manageable. It can be printed on 3 mm matte PVC for indoor or outdoor shows and paired with a custom A-frame based on the owner’s display and transportation needs.

Custom design and one printed board start at $299. Initial proofs are prepared within 24 hours after usable photographs and vehicle information are received, followed by printing within 48 hours of final approval. Rush shipping can be quoted for upcoming show deadlines.
