A Period-Inspired Board For A Real GTO Story

This project needed to feel different from a modern performance board. The visual direction leans into a vintage Pontiac mood with warm paper texture, red and black accents, bold section headers, and a large GTO identity.

The board handles detailed owner-provided information by separating the story into clear sections: owner and provenance, factory colors, engine and ignition, driveline, exhaust, brakes, suspension, and wheels and tires.

Owner-provided provenance: Built at the Pontiac, Michigan plant on 5/14/69, shipped to Woodson Pontiac in Roanoke, Virginia on 5/19/69, and sold new on 6/15/69.

Key Details Highlighted On The Board

  • Matador Red exterior — Code 52
  • Parchment White interior — Code 57
  • 455 Pontiac bored .035 over to 468 cu in
  • 4.250 stroke with Eagle crank
  • M-23 Rock Crusher 4-speed
  • Moser 12-bolt rear, 3.73 gears, and supporting chassis upgrades

Accuracy Matters On A Customer Board

The project went through detailed wording review so the final board reflected Mike’s actual GTO, including purchase history, ignition setup, driveline details, upgraded axles, coil springs, and the “MY 1ST CAR” note. Those details matter because the board represents the vehicle’s story in public.
